- London Rock and Black, White and Blues co-productions with the BBC, Group W and Metromedia.
- One Pair of Hands narrated by Humphrey Burton which won the highest ratings of any BBC documentary in the year of its production.
- In Search of Paradise a co-production with TF1 in France, Channel 4 in the U.K. and TV Ontario in Canada, which became one of the major successes of Channel 4’s debut season.
- 4 American Composers, a series of four one-hour films directed by Peter Greenaway.
- Placido Domingo, A Year in the Life of an Opera Singer, which achieved the highest viewing figures of the year for an arts documentary when it was broadcast on Channel 4.
- The Horse in Sport series co-produced with Channel 4 and ABC in Australia.
- Greek Fire narrated by Juliette Stevenson and featuring George Steiner in co-production with Channel 4, A&E, Teleac, ERT and Hellenic TV 1.
- History's Turning Points® an award winning 26 part series that took over three years to produce and was shot on location around the world using ‘docu-image’ to bring decisive moments in world history to life.
- Trailblazers was the highest-rated series on the Travel Channel in the USA, was a co-production with Discovery Channel Europe and the Travel Channel in the USA.
- Horse Tales a 26 part series of bareback adventures from around the globe, was co-produced with Animal Planet in the States, TVNZ Natural History, Sleeping Giant and Life in Canada and was the first UK/Canadian Treaty Co-Production of a factual documentary television series.
- Three Gorges was the Discovery Channel award winning special which followed the construction and completion of the largest dam in the world.
- Lost Treasures of the Ancient World, documenting the efforts of the Chinese government to save their antiquities from the rising waters.
- The Science of Love and Extreme Body Parts and Sleep and Dreams co-produced with Discovery Health in the States, Great North and Alliance Atlantis in Canada, S4C in Wales and NDR in Germany.
- Legends of the Living Dead was a co-production with the Travel Channel , S4C and S4C International.
- Return to the Three Gorges a Discovery Channel special made in co-production with West Beach Productions.
Transatlantic Films was also the production arm of Covent Garden Pioneer FSP, - a joint venture between the Royal Opera House and the Japanese electronic company, Pioneer – which produced fifteen full length opera and ballet productions in co-production with the BBC, Channel 4 and NHK.
